On March 7, 2005 she joined her forever family. I witnessed a miracle that day in china. My life forever changed in that single moment when I held my daughter in my arms.

Oh my goodness, how can it be that my beautiful baby girl is 5 years old today?

Often it seems like she has been with us forever and then it seems just like yesterday that I waited in the civil affairs office in Wuhan, China to hold my baby. Li Jia Chun started screaming the second they put her in my arms and yet it is the most wonderful of memories. I was given a gift from God that day...a miracle. Then 3 days later our sweet china doll celebrated her first birthday with her new mom and dad.

Now 4 years later she is the most lively, active, silly, sassy, sweet joyful child. She just sparkles. She fills this house with laughter. Many people will tell you how lucky your child is that you adopted them. The truth is this. We are the lucky ones. I have been Blessed by this child. She renews my spirit everyday. She brings me joy. So, Happy Birthday precious Annabelle. Your family loves you beyond measure. And I thank God every single day for the miracle of adoption, and the gift of Annabelle Faith Jia Chun Haske.
