He is being So brave...
HE Is Being So Brave...
Our sweet Sebastian is trying to be so very brave. He did have a few good hours in the afternoon yesterday and we did get some very big smiles and almost had him laughing, but when we went to get some dinner, he didn't want anything we had ordered and he wouldn't answer the waiter, and then he put his head on his hands and once again fought so hard not to cry, but he lost that battle. It is so hard to see him suffer like this. I know it will get better but right now I ache for him.
. He does let us snuggle him and hold him. That is good, and I am happy he is grieving instead of just being stoic, but I must say, it has been very frustrating that our guide is just all business. I fully understand that her job is to facilitate the adoption, but it would have been nice for a little time to have her help us communicate with Sebastian and explain things to him a little better.
After the paperwork was done, she just dropped us at the hotel and off she went. Whe was making plans with another family to go to dinner last night, and I said, oh are we meeting for dinner? and she laughed and said, no their dinner is included in their package. We were obviously not invited. Then we hear last night that her parents were hit by a bus. Seriously, what are the odds? I feel really badly for her, but I have no idea where we stand now. We are supposed to visit the orphanage this afternoon. We will see.
When Sebastian is feeling better, he is so adorable. Very sweet but you can also see he is all boy. He acts like a Ninja at times and will take something of Annies and then hold it over his head so she can't get it, but he always gives it back...with a smile. He shares his snacks, but doesn't want anyone really touching his backpack or toys. We have gotten a few good smiles and hopefully today will go a little better. We just love this sweet little boy. I just want to see happiness on his face. And I just have to add how proud I am of Nikki and Annabelle, they have just been amazing during this whole trip. Nikki is my computer savior and Annie is just been a joy....no fussing. We are so Blessed to be the parents of these children. And a special hug and thank you to my mom and Jack and Ryan back home who have had to deal with a pipe bursting in our home and the fire dept., the plummer and the contractor working in our home....life is never dull! Enjoy the new photos of Sebastian and we'll post more tonight after our visit to the orphanage.

Congratulations! Can't wait to see you all and meet Sebastian. He really is beautiful and so lucky to be a part of your wonderful family. Good luck with the rest of your trip!
To be truthful, I haven't read the blog in it's entirety. A pipe burst at the house??? So sorry! Again, if there is anything you need us to do on this end, call!! (I hope you see this perhaps I'm posting in the wrong places)
