Sorry for the lack of posts lately, we got to Guangzhou and, guess what? The internet in our room doesn't work! It's Beijing all over again.

An Ming had his first plane ride, he did very well. The morning of the flight, he was the same little boy he's been all week, but when we began to board the plane, he got shier, and held my hand tightly. Of course, on his first plane ride, we got the one row in the entire plane that didn't have a window, so he couldn't see the plane take off, or the view during the flight. Sebastian hung on to his dad for dear life before we took off, but made it through the flight by doing rude boy things with dad. All in all, he did very well...much better than his mom.

But before we took off, here are some interesting events at the airport:

- The elegant woman who blew a loogie on the floor of the waiting area...not once, but twice.
- The same woman patted Annie on the head after we landed. I don't want to think about which hand ahe used.
She was really a lovely lady. Very well-mannered. All my dad could say was "snot nice."

We landed, but there was no one waiting for us at the hot, busy airport. We had to wait for our guide for a half hour. To top it all off, I was sick, and an airport is not a fun place to be when you're not feeling well. Especially one in China.

It was good to see some of our group from Beijing on the bus going to the hotel, but not good enough to make me feel better. I got the the hotel and crashed. I think I slept the entire time the rest of my family went to lunch at Lucy's, and most of the day after that.

Yesterday we decided not to go to the Zoo. I still wasn't feeling quite up to it, and Annie had woken up in the middle of the night with a stomach ache, too. We hung out at the Hotel, where her, An Ming and my mom and dad had some quality bonding time. Just think, the two most entergetic kids you'll ever meet in a hotel room, bouncing off the walls. I'm told my parents were about to go insane. I don't know, I was still not feeling well, and stayed in the other room.

Today my mom and Sebastian went to the Buddist Temple, my dad, me, and Annie stayed back at the hotel. Remember how I said Annie hadn't been feeling well? we thought she had just been trying to get attention, but the minute An Ming and mom boarded the bus, we started to go back to the room...and Annie threw up. Poor thing really had been sick. She's doing much better now, except for the fact that we had to wash her favorite blanket, and it's still not dry to sleep with. She's going to have to rough it with the...other blanket...terrifying, isn't it?

Sorry there aren't any pictures, but, like I said, the internet in our room doesn't work, so we have to use the hotel business center, and I don't think they want us loading our pictures onto their computers. Pft...whatever.

Until next time!!!
